Registration Information

Returning Player Registration

Registering the returning players for the 2008-2009 season will be required to be done on-line this season. This capability will be available between April 1 and May 1, 2008. Please read the information on how to register on-line. Note: Players that have played before but are transferring to Surrey MHA must contact the registrar to initiate the transfer prior to being able to register on-line.

New Player Registration

We are now accepting pre-registration of new players for the 2008-2009 season.

The following requirements must be met to complete registration:

1. The player must have reached his/her 4^th birthday by December 31, 2008 to enrol. The season runs from early September to late March.
2. A child may only be registered in person by the custodial parent with whom he/she resides. This residence must be within the boundaries of Surrey Minor Hockey Association. The boundaries are:
   • North: Fraser River
   • South: BC Harbours Board Railway
   • West: Surrey City Limits
   • East: 152^nd Street (56^th Avenue to 88^th Avenue); 88^th Ave. to 160^th Street; 160^th Street to Fraser River

If the above mentioned requirements are met, please pre-registered your child(ren) by completing the Pre-Registration form and send it in to the Registrar with the required fee (one child per form). The address is on the form. Once the form and fee are received, the Registrar will contact you as to when your registration date will take place. The pre-registration fee will be deducted off the total registration fee when the registration is complete. All new players pay the Early discount Fee.

Registration fees for the 2008-2009 season are as follows (includes one practice and one game per week during the regular season):

*Hockey 1-2-3-4 is an Initiation Program. Players are evaluated and can be placed in a level higher or lower than what his/her age dictates, depending on the players ability. Hockey 1 does not have competitive games, therefore the cost is lower. Should a child whose birth year indicates they should play in Hockey 1, but the ability of the player moves him/her up to Hockey 2, the parent would then be required to pay the difference.
