Covid-19 - Visiting Team Information

NOTICE TO ALL VISITING TEAMS

Game Play at Surrey Rinks!

Welcome to Surrey, BC.

It’s a pleasure to host you at our new rink!

During these difficult times, we want to ensure your visit to our new arena is seamless. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

The City of Surrey is doing its best to meet our “hockey needs” while, rightfully, placing a priority on keeping everyone safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The following are restrictions and guidelines that the City of Surrey has asked our Association to adhere to:

Guidelines from the City of Surrey …

  1. The group renting the ice will be responsible to endure the maximum number of people attending an event does not exceed 50, 45 of which can be on the ice surface.
  2. There will be NO “in and out” privileges and no one is allowed to loiter in the lobby areas.
  3. Anyone permitted entrance who is not a player or a coach, will be permitted in 10 minutes prior to ice time and must exit the building at the completion of the ice-time.
  4. The groups are responsible for ensuring that accurate attendance records are kept. The City will be randomly auditing Associations and requesting specific attendance records periodically.

Please note that only 45 people can be on the field of play (players’ bench and ice surface) during a scheduled event (every game or practice). This number includes players + coaches + safety Rep.
